WESTON-SUPER-MARE beach was transformed into a race track this weekend for a unique motorbike and quad bike event.

Weston Beach Race 2023 saw hundreds congregate from across the UK to the seaside town to push their all-terrain-vehicles to the limit in a series of thrilling races.

The mountainous course was formed from the beach sand by using a tractor, creating a challenging series of peaks and troughs for racers to navigate.

There were several different categories of races, made up of adult and youth competitions, as well as a unique quads and sidecar race.

The first race of the weekend was the Youth 125/250cc Race. Jak Taylor took home first place, with Reece Jones following closely in second, and George Hopkins placing third.

In the Youth 65cc Race, Casey Lister was the victor, Cohen Jagielski placed second, followed by Jett Gardiner in third place.

The Adults Quads and Sidecar Race saw Steve Atkins record the fastest time of all, Lathan Pritchard took second, and Oliver Sansom secured third place.

Drew Stock recorded the fastest time in the Youth 85cc Race, followed closely by Harry Lee, and Blake Ward-Clarke.

Finally, the Adult Solo Race saw Todd Kellett crowned champion, followed in second place by Ashley Greedy, with the third fastest time recorded by Billy Bolt.
