PLANS have been submitted to put in new security gates at a Failand golf club.

Bristol And Clifton Golf Club can be found on Beggar Bush lane. The club's website reads: "A beautifully mature and undulating parkland course that measures 6,413 yards with a par of 70, Bristol & Clifton offers a varied and beguiling test for all golfers."

The application for the new security gates, which would be located at the main entrance, was validated on Monday, September 11.

The club gates specification reads: "Gates to be constructed from 60 x 60 x 4 RHS, with 60 x 10 cross rails.

"In-filled with 16mm + 12mm solid bar with manual locking sliding bolt & 2 No 25mm drop bolts."

It is recommended by PJY Fabrications, who provided the quotation, that the middle of the double gates meet in the centre of the road so that it looks more aesthetically pleasing.
