A SERIES of wellbeing events will be held in Portishead over the next 18 months.

The workshops are an initiative of the Portishead Wellbeing Partnership, which aims to educate residents on relevant topics and help relieve pressure on statutory services by directing people to alternative support.

Each workshop will last around an hour and a half.

They will cover the following topics:
• Developing a healthy relationship with food;
• Living with chronic pain;
• Diabetes management;
• Menopause;
• Dementia and falls prevention;
• End of life conversations.

Portishead Town Council will host two sessions for each topic, which will run six months apart. It is expected that these will be held on a Wednesday from 7pm at the Folk Hall.

The first workshop will take place on Wednesday, September 20 and will cover the topic ‘Managing Anxiety in Children and Young People’.
