FIRE crews have been called to the scene of a collision which resulted in a vehicle being overturned on its roof.
Crew members from Avonmouth, Clevedon and Portishead received reports of a road traffic collision between Junction 19 (Portishead) to Junction 20 (Clevedon) on the M5 Southbound.
This happened at around 1.43pm yesterday (Tuesday, September 12).
On arrival, they found one vehicle on its roof in the third lane of the carriageway.
One casualty had self-rescued from the vehicle, which crews treated.
Traffic was halted whilst recovery work was carried out. There was a 30 minute delay on approach.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 13:41hrs to a road traffic collision near Clevedon.
“We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and a tactical commander and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Bristol Royal Infirmary.”
