A PERSON was taken to hospital after a collision near Clevedon.

The collision took place this afternoon (Tuesday, September 12) at around 1.41pm.

Traffic on the M5 was stopped between Portishead and Clevedon earlier this afternoon and lanes were closed to allow the recovery of a car.

National Highways South West said all lanes are now open.

 

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 13:41hrs to a road traffic collision near Clevedon.

“We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and a tactical commander and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Bristol Royal Infirmary.”
