A ROAD in Nailsea is due to close for six nights next week.

The B3130 Clevedon Road will be closed from Tuesday, August 29 for six nights.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from Nailsea Town Council said: "Nailsea Town Council have been advised by North Somerset Council that on the August 29, 2023, the road will be closed, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists. This order was required because of carriageway resurfacing works.

"It is anticipated to be of six nights in duration between the hours of 20:00-06:00.

"North Somerset Council advise that in order to carry out work efficiently, the carriageway will need to be kept clear of all parked vehicles.

"Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works. There will be staff located within the road closure who will be happy to advise you on access arrangements.

"It is further advised that pedestrians reduce vehicle movements (where possible) and be patient whilst the workforce makes access arrangements for residents."
