AVON Fire & Rescue Service will be joining forces with other blue light services to host an open day at Nailsea Fire Station.

The free, interactive event will take place on Sunday, September 3, from 10am until 3pm.

Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the work undertaken by emergency services, such as fire, police, ambulance and coastguard.

Crew manager, Craig Carter, said: "We are excited to bring the community together for our Emergency Services Open Day.

"With safety advice, live rescue displays, and an opportunity to look at various emergency service vehicles, you won’t struggle for things to do.”

Avon and Somerset Police, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT), and local coastguard crews will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Craig added: "We encourage all members of the community to join us and come and say hello.

"It's a chance for everyone to participate in interactive displays, all while having fun and building connections with emergency services staff."

Donations will be greatly appreciated.
