A POPULAR food and drink festival will return to Nailsea this autumn, after almost a year’s absence.

The eat:Nailsea festival, organised by Bev and Sarah Milner Simonds, will showcase local producers alongside workshops, live music, street entertainment and competitions.

Town clerk, Jo Duffy, said: “Councillors listened to the people and businesses of Nailsea who were disappointed after the cessation of the Nailsea festivals at the end of 2022.

"The festivals are obviously a positive for the town and so after working things through with the organisers, it has been confirmed eat:Nailsea will return on October 28.”

Bev added: "We are delighted to be coming back to Nailsea for a mega-edition of eat:Nailsea when we expect to have more 100 local food and drink producers, music, street food and entertainment."

The food and drink festival will take place at the Crown Glass Shopping Centre and along the High Street up to Link Road on October 28.

Roads will be closed from 7am-7pm to allow for the safe set up and set down of the festival, which will trade from 10am-4pm.
