AVON Fire and Rescue crews from Pill and Avonmouth were called to reports of a vehicle fire yesterday (May 23) at 08:39 in Abbots Leigh.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "On arrival they found one car well alight with the fire further affecting nearby bushes.
"With one firefighter wearing breathing apparatus, crews used three high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.
"The cause of the incident was thought to have been accidental ignition."
