THE remaining members of the group that toured North and South America on a double decker bus are on the lookout for Vic Webb.
The five survivors of the Sir George White Special double-decker bus journey through North and South America in the early 1970s will be reuniting for an illustrated talk at the Aerospace Bristol museum next Tuesday, March 14.
Vic Webb reportedly masterminded the vehicle's conversion, which took the group on a once-in-a-lifetime tour. This was until the bus met its end in Peru.
They believe that Vic, whose sister, the late Joan Coles, was one of this intrepid group, may live in the Portishead or Nailsea area.
If that's you or someone you know, call Mike Conway on 01275-856057.
The bus was named after the city’s aviation pioneer in a Bristol newspaper competition by a Mr. S.C. Richards of Horfield. Mike would like to hear from any relatives.
