Rydal day nursery have decided to take part in North Somerset's Healthy Early Years pilot award scheme.

Part of this involves ensuring the staff provide healthy meals for the children throughout their day. This is in line with the Eat Better Start Better guidelines for Early years.

Information on nurtition, wellbeing and healthy eating has been shared with parents.

Mel Morton, Manager of the Parent and Child department, said: "At Rydal we are passionate about providing healthy nutritious meals and snacks for our children and teaching them about healthy lifestyles that will support their growth and development.

It has been fascinating hearing about all the training and resources they have to offer us, which we have shared with all our staff and families. These in turn will teach the children life skills, that learnt from a young age, will become ingrained in future life."
