CLEVEDON and District Foodbank, which are providing tremendous support to the local community suffering during the cost of living crisis have received a large donation this week.
They were given £1,000 from Clevedon Yeo Rotary club and the money will go to offset some of their running costs
Clevedon Yeo president Bob Sprange said: "We are an avid supporter of the Foofbank and as a result of our recent succesful quiz night were delighted to be able to support this vital local facility with a substantial cash donation."
The club was also continuing its fundraising with an annual Christmas hamper raffle.
Kelly Croxton from the Foodbank received the cheque at their premises in Knowles road.
She said: "We are grateful for the Rotary clubs' support and this significant boost to our funds will be put to good use supporting the vulnerable and those in need in our community."
