AN Avon and Somerset Police officer has been accused of touching a female colleague inappropriately.

PC Sanjaye Drummond is also alleged to have made inappropriate comments of a sexual nature to a number of colleagues.

PC Drummond faces a misconduct hearing into the allegations, which are said to have taken place while he was off duty.

The hearing in public is due to take place on Monday, December 12, under the provisions of the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020..

It is claimed the officer breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for Police officers, specifically in relation to authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct.

PC Drummond is alleged to have committed the alleged offences- in December 2021.

If proven, the allegations would amount to gross misconduct.
