FESTIVE illuminations were turned on in a popular shopping street in Clevedon.
On Thursday evening, traders in Hill Road opened their shops into the evening for visitors to enjoy some Christmas traditions including mulled wine and mince pies and to give them the chance to pick up some unusual gifts.
Clevedon Town Council chairman Councillor Colin Hall had the honour of turning on the Christmas lights.
