A FUND-RAISING task force has been set up by a North Somerset charity that helps people with learning disabilities.
Brandon Trust has never capitalised on its charitable status since it was established 16 years ago but with Government cuts taking effect the charity is now seeking the public’s help to fund its work.
An experienced five-strong team has been appointed with the mission to raise a substantial sum in its first year.
The team is being financed from the charity’s reserves and money received from a legacy, meaning no funding will be taken away from its work with the people its supports.
The task force is being led by Lisa Cousins, who has 15 years experience in fund-raising, and includes Lewis Lippiatt, Clair Thomson, Martyn Williams and Julie Dixon.
