Friends take on the Bristol 10k
A GROUP of friends from Portishead took to the streets of Bristol to take part in the 10k race to raise money for charity.
Stuart Wallace, Tim Gregory, Matt Staines, Flynn Guard, Olly and Heidi Tremlett, Joe Bennett, Mike Pritchard and Joe Collett completed the race in times ranging between 44 minutes and an hour and two minutes.
The pals have so far raised �1,045 for Cancer Research UK but are encouraging people to continue to give to the worthy cause.
Stuart Wallace, aged 31, said: “Our target was �400 so we’ve beaten that and we’re just going to keep going to see how much we can raise.”
The group also ran with their friends Ange and Vicky Copeland who were running for Diabetes UK.
