A CHARITY skittle roll-up will be held at a Pill pub in memory of a popular village man.
The Kings Head pub in Heywood Road will put on the event from 3pm on Saturday to raise money for Gordano Rugby Club’s floodlight appeal.
The event will be held in memory of Jimmy Gilmore, a local man who died after suffering a heart attack while driving through Pill.
He was heavily involved with the Gordano Rugby Club and at the time of his death had been fund-raising for floodlights for the club.
Jacqi and Martin Hart at The Kings Head aim to raise 1,000 from the skittles event. There will be food available and also a raffle. Each go at skittles will cost 1 and each raffle entry will be 50p.
