COMMUNITY organisations in Clevedon have been given hundreds-of-pounds by the Rotary Club of Clevedon Yeo.
In May, the club launched an initiative aimed at funding the work of not-for-profit groups in the town through match funding.
Now, five organisations in Clevedon have each been given a cheque for 300.
Those to benefit were the Salavation Army, the town’s junior cricket club, St Nicholas Chantry Out of School Club, Clevedon Community First Responders and Clevedon Swimming Club.
The money will be used to fund the purchase of kit and equipment, building projects and locally-based initiatives.
Rotary club president Chris Morris said: “I am sure these organisations will benefit from this boost to their finances. They all do fabulous work in and around the Clevedon area.”
