n THREE retired nurses from North Somerset plunged 12,000ft to raise money for charity.
Pam Yabsley, from Nailsea, wanted to do something exceptional to mark the five-year anniversary of the end of her treatment for ovarian and endometrial cancer - and raise money for ovarian cancer research in Bristol.
Her friends Liz Corrigan, of Leigh Woods, and Ann Ford, of Wrington, decided to join Pam and raise money for charities at the Bristol Oncology Centre and St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol.
On September 3 the trio took part in a skydive with the Royal Logistic Corp Freefall Display Team, The Silver Stars, and raised more than 4,000. Anyone interested in sponsoring the women can do so at www.justgiving.com/pam-yabsley
