RESIDENTS in Nailsea and Clevedon are being encouraged to clear out their cupboards and donate items to charity.
CLIC Sargent has launched a campaign, entitled Delve, Discover, Donate, in the hope of persuading more people to donate to its charity shops.
Throughout the South West the charity hopes to raise an extra 100,000 through the campaign and its stores in Old Street, Clevedon, and Collliers Walk, Nailsea, are taking part.
Stock collection coordinator Clair Jones said: “One bag of donated stock is worth about 30 which could, for example, pay for a CLIC Sargent play specialist to help a child prepare for treatment using models, toys and photos.
“We’re encouraging Clevedon and Nailsea locals to discover their unwanted books, clothing, CDs, DVDs, home ware, collectables and bric-a-brac, and make any donations they can to their local CLIC Sargent shop.”
