A WEBSITE has been launched to let people know more about an application to build a new supermarket in Portishead.
Sainsburys has set up the site, which can be found at www.sainsburysportishead.co.uk, to explain the progress of their planning applications to build a store off Serbert Way.
In November, the proposals for the store were given approval by North Somerset councillors.
However, The Co-Operative, which already has a supermarket in Portishead, launched a legal challenge asking for a judicial review into the decision.
Since then, Sainsburys has submitted a second planning application, which it hopes will be approved to allow work to start on site.
