POLICE have said they will be out in force this bonfire night in a bid to ensure everyone has a fun and safe time.
The force is likely to face an increased number of calls over the weekend relating to antisocial behaviour crimes, and will be looking to tackle troublemakers through Operation Relentless.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary’s Chief Inspector Yan Georgiou said: “Bonfire night is a particularly busy time of the year for the police with lots of large scale events and an increase in the number of antisocial behaviour-related calls.
“We aim to provide reassurance and support so people living in our communities feel safe whilst allowing everyone to get into the spirit of the occasion and have a fun and safe time.”
