A BODY of a man was recovered from water near Portishead yesterday evening (Mon).
At about 5.20pm a dog walker spotted a body in the water near Black Nore Point and called police.
It was brought ashore by the town’s lifeboat crew and police officers.
Police are now working to identify the man and establish the circumstances surrounding his death. They have said they are keeping an open mind and are treating the death as unexplained.
