MORE than 26,000 has been donated to the League of Friends of Clevedon Hospital in the past year.
The group has received generous support from people in North Somerset who have given the money through legacies, subscriptions, donations, events and prize draws.
The money has gone toward buying further medical equipment for the hospital, a patient couch for the physiotherapy department, five wall clocks, daily papers for the patients and refreshments everyday for the staff.
The friends group will hold its AGM next month, when Jeanette George from NHS North Somerset will give an update on the scheme to build a new community hospital in Clevedon. This will take place at the community centre in Princes Road at 7.30pm on May 21. Members and non-members can attend.
