CHILDREN and parents were joined by North Somerset’s MP to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a children’s charity.
A special plaque was unveiled and a cake was cut to mark the milestone for Springboard Opportunity Group, which has a base in Princes Road and provides support to children aged under five with additional needs and their families.
MP Dr Liam Fox was taken on a tour of the group’s play room, where it provides specialist play sessions for the children, before he presented long service awards to some volunteers and also certificates of appreciation to those who helped collect donations at Bristol Airport last year.
This is the 25th academic year in which Springboard has operated after being set up by a group of parents keen to support and meet others with children with special educational needs.
