CLEVEDON’S pier and Portishead Dock are just two of the landmarks shown in their early 20th-century incarnation by a new website.
Britain From Above features thousands of aerial images from across the country taken between 1919 and 1951.
North Somerset is well-represented on the site, with striking shots of Clevedon, Portishead and Pill, as well as Weston, among the 15,000 images contained on the site. To take a look for yourself visit www.britainfromabove.org.uk
