A CHARITY Golf Day organised by Nailsea and Backwell Rotary Club which was rained off at the beginning of this month, has been re-scheduled for September 13.

It was hoped the event, at Mendip Springs Golf Club in Congresbury, would raise more than 3,000 for the special care baby unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol.

However, new teams are needed due to some competitors not being able to make the September date.

Teams of four cost 160 each for the 18-hole Stableford, with prizes up for grabs including for the longest drive and nearest the pin competitions, as well as a charity draw.
