A TRAPPED pony was towed out of a field yesterday evening (Wed) after almost being fully submerged in mud.
Firefighters from Pill, Avonmouth and Bath were called to Sheepway in Portbury at about 5.45pm.
The pony was trapped in three to four feet of mud and had to be winched out by a farmer’s JCB.
It was uninjured, despite being stuck for several hours, according to an Avon Fire and Rescue spokesman.
