A POLICE helicopter was called out to Clevedon last night (Wednesday) to help search for a potential car thief.
Police were called to an incident in Westbourne Avenue at 5.30pm after a car, which was believed to be stolen, failed to stop for an officer.
A police spokesman said: “The car was abandoned in Westbourne Avenue and we carried out a search of the local area including the use of the helicopter.
“No one was found and police enquiries are still ongoing.”
