TWO colleagues from Clevedon are taking part in a bold mountain climbing challenge to raise money for charity.
Eamonn McKiernan, aged 39, and Jason Cordice, aged 26, are teaming up with eight other colleagues from construction and building firm BAM to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge.
The gruelling event, on June 27, will see Eamonn and Jason climb the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in just 24 hours, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Eamonn, of Wood View, said: “I came up with the idea of completing the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money, as it has been a personal thing I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
“I’m feeling quite apprehensive about it all, but also very excited. I have got to put in a lot of training to get up to the standard, but I’m looking forward to the personal gain of being really fit and healthy.
“I am still young and fit enough to do things like this and I hope it will inspire more people my age to go out and do something.
