Donation boxes have been installed at Clevedon’s Marine Lake.
The two boxes were put in place on the upper promenade at both ends of the lake.
They were installed by MARLENS, the charity which promotes and maintains the lake, and it is hoped visitors will be encouraged to donate money so it can develop the attraction’s offering even further.
The boxes will offer a new way of raising money after the annual Tides festival fundraiser for MARLENS was cancelled earlier this month.
Other improvements made recently by MARLENS include new stone seating carved into the wall which can withstand the regular over-topping tides.
There are also plans to install three colourful ceramic murals created by local artist Nancy Farmer.
