Generous Freemasons from Backwell donated more than £1,000 to St Peter’s Hospice.
Lodge master Harry Jordan chose the charity to thank the hospice for the care and support it provided for his father-in-law.
Backwell Masonic Lodge raised the money by holding raffles throughout the year.
Members donated a variety of prizes for the raffle and bought tickets to try to win the items on offer.
Members of the lodge visited St Peter’s Hospice to hand over £1,025 to the charity which supports people with life-limiting conditions.
Lodge charity steward Richard Barclay and lodge master Harry Jordan gave the donation to registered nurse Serena Edwards and community fundraiser Maddy Alton.
The hospice, which has just opened a new inpatient unit, thanked the group for their generous donation.
The Freemasons meet at Nailsea Masonic Hall, in Nailsea Park, and have a total of 31 members.
