A charity rescue event which took place at Portishead Marina raised more than £6,809 for vulnerable animals.
Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary and Newfoundland Friends hosted the event involving 26 participants jumping into the marina to be rescued by one of 11 trained rescue dogs.
The pooches are specially trained by members of Newfoundland Friends charity throughout the year.
Hannah Goodwin-Sharman from the sanctuary's fundraising team said the money raised on Saturday will cover medical bills.
Hannah said: "The day was a roaring success in total and we were delighted at how the day went.
"It was rainy in the morning, but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits.
"We were thrilled to have been selected by Newfound Friends to be the beneficiary of one of their amazing events."
Holly Hedge is an independent charity, based in Barrow Gurney, which rescues and rehomes abandoned cats and dogs.
