A Christmas fair has raised more than £2,000 for Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary.
Around 300 people bought Christmas cards and tree decorations, as well as a selection of cakes at Long Ashton Community Centre, in Keedwell Hill, during the event on December 1.
People could also take part in a tombola and raffle, as well as meet a therapy dog on the day.
Organisers were amazed to have raised the figure from the Christmas fair.
A spokesman from Holly Hedge said: "The money collected from the event amounts to the same as a month's bill to heat our kennels and cattery.
"The fair's success is all down to our volunteer Pip Sharp - we wouldn't survive without helpers like Pip.
"We are super grateful to her and all of our other wonderful volunteers.
"We have run the event in Long Ashton for a few years, and we look forward to hosting the event again in 2020."
