After two years of being unable to run their Christmas Post Service, Nailsea and Backwell Scouts are busy getting ready to re-start Christmas post deliveries for this Christmas.
Steve Pring of Pring and Co., who has sponsored the stamps from when the Scouts scheme first started more than 20 years ago, has ordered in new stocks of stamps, rounds are being allocated, new post boxes are being made and Post Offices have been arranged.
There are some changes from previous years - the stamps will cost 40p and will go on sale from early November from the following outlets:
Nailsea: Nailsea Community Group Shop, Hunter Leahy, Maynews. Butterfly Travel, Co-op Hannah More Road, Grove Stores, Touts (Budgens),
Backwell: Parkers Estate Agents, Barley & Mabel, Backwell Motors, Backwell Barbers,
The last day of posting will be noon on December 18.
