A sparkling production of Three Kings is heading to the Theatre Shop in Clevedon this Christmas.

The play, staged by Bristol-based Travelling Light Theatre Company, will tour schools, community venues and care homes in the South West this month.

Perfect for young and old alike, Three Kings is an uplifting tale about people from very different walks of life coming together to overcome their differences.

The play tells the story of three strangers who meet, apparently by chance, beneath a starlit sky.

What brought them together? Nobody knows. But, as the long night draws in, they begin to swap fabulous tales full of laughter, adventure and heartache.

They discover, much to their surprise, there is quite nothing like a story to bring people together.

Travelling Light’s inventive twist on a classic tale fuses storytelling, song and dance and puppetry in a sparkling show about finding out where you belong.

Heidi Vaughn, artistic producer at Travelling Light Theatre Company, said: “It is a privilege to perform in these places, to audiences who appear very different but are all brimming with stories.

“Three Kings is the perfect show to share with all ages especially at this time of year when people are vulnerable to feeling alone.

“Theatre is a gentle way to bring people together.”

Three Kings will be staged at the Theatre Shop in Clevedon on December 1. There will be performances at 2pm and 4pm.

The Times has teamed up with the Travelling Light Theatre Company to offer two lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the December 1 showing in Clevedon at 4pm.
