The town's seafront to host a swim 'run' and its annual aquathlon.
Clevedon's open water events season gets underway this month with the swim run on July 6th.
This is a great opportunity for fitness fanatics to enjoy multiple swimming and running laps along Clevedon's historic seafront. The course will include swimming 1.2k in running gear and running 5.5k in swimming gear - there will be no time to change in between. It's an adventure race for people who love to get wet, run and scramble - finishing with a run to the end of Clevedon's iconic pier.
Clevedon Aquathlon follows on July 20th which also involves swimming and running but for this event there is a choice of two distances and you can do it solo or in relay with a friend - swimmer first and runner second.
Marine Lake will be closed to the general public during these events which are organised by MARLENS, the charity that restored and maintains the historic seafront lake.
Full details about the events and how to enter can be found on Clevedon Marine Lake website www.clevedonmarinelake.co.uk
