PORTISHEAD'S RNLI team were called out over the weekend after a motor vessel lost power.
The lifeboat crew launched at 9.38am on Saturday, September 2, after receiving reports that a motor vessel had lost power around 500m off of Black Nore Beach.
With plenty of large ships around, the team moved quickly to recover the vessel and those on board.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the RNLI said: "CALL OUT - Saturday (September 2) lifeboat crew launched at 9.38am as a motor vessel had lost power approximately 500m off of Black Nore beach, Portishead.
"With lots of vessels on the water and large ships moving around with tugs in support it was essential to get to the stricken vessel as quickly as they could.
"Luckily just as the lifeboat crew arrived on scene the skipper managed to restart the engine so the volunteers escorted the vessel and the two people on board back to Portishead Marina."
