ONE man has been taken to hospital after being involved in a single-vehicle collision on the M5.
The incident happened yesterday (Tuesday, August 15, 2023).
Police were called to the scene at around 11.15am after the white BMW saloon he was driving collided with the central reservation on the northbound carriageway between junctions 18A (Avonmouth/M49) and 17 (Cribbs Causeway).
The driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital by paramedics. His family were informed of the incident.

The road was then closed whilst investigation and recovery work was carried out, and was fully reopened at around 2.40pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen or have dashcam footage of what happened, as this could help them in determining the cause of the crash.
