Ryan Reynolds had audiences in fits of laughter when he took on the lead role of Deadpool when the movie premiered in 2016.

Reynolds reprises his role as Wade Wilson, a disgraced special forces operative.

In the first film, Wade was diagnosed with terminal cancer and decided to abandon his loved ones as he prepared to die.

But when he meets Ajax, a mysterious man who offers him a cure, he jumps at the opportunity unbeknownst to him what he has signed up for.

Wade is given a serum which cures him of the disease but leaves him mutated with scarring.

In his attempt to seek revenge against him, Wade dons a suit and becomes the masked vigilante Deadpool.

Despite promising to turn over a new leaf after exacting his revenge on Ajax, Deadpool is back to his old tricks once again in the hotly-anticipated sequel.

In the newest film to come from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Deadpool forms a team of mutants called the X-Force in a bid to protect young mutant Russell from the time-travelling cybernetic soldier, Cable – played by Josh Brolin, who also starred as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War which premiered a few weeks ago.

Deadpool 2 will be at the Curzon cinema, in Old Church Road, from Friday to May 23.
