One of the most popular cult characters in the Star Wars universe takes centre stage at the Curzon cinema ths week.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (12A) charts the life of pilot Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) as he becomes embroiled in a dark criminal underworld.

While on his galactic travels, Solo meets his future co-pilot Chewbacca and encounters Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) before joining the Rebellion’s fight.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will be shown tomorrow (Thursday) until June 7 at various times.

Stand-up comedy returns to the venue on Saturday when Phill Jupitus will regale the audience with hilarious tales of his chaotic life.

A final chance to see the outrageous Deadpool 2 (15) will be offered tomorrow.

Ryan Reynolds returns as the sharp-tongued Wade Wilson, a disfigured cafeteria chef who is struggling to achieve his goal of becoming the hottest bartender in Mayberry.

In an effort to rediscover his lust for life, Wade travels the world battling ninjas, the yakuza and a pack of sexually aggressive dogs.

British drama That Good Night (12A) will provide a rather sharp change of pace this week.

Former screenwriter Ralph (John Hurt) is terminally ill and aged in his 70s.

He is visited by the mysterious Visitor to end his life painlessly, but is the victim of a sinister trick which gives Ralph the chance to right some wrongs.

The Curzon and the Times have teamed up to offer one lucky reader a pair of tickets to see Solo: A Star Wars Story.
