Win tickets to sci-fi adventure, Arrival, at the Curzon cinema
PUBLISHED: 16:30 18 April 2017
Earth teeters on the brink of a global war with a mysterious alien race in this week’s Curzon cinema offering.
Arrival (12A) was one of the most nominated films at this year’s Oscars and stars Amy Adams as expert linguist Louise Banks who is thrust into the limelight when a series of strange spaceships touch down on Earth.
Hired by the military to investigate the landings, she must put her skills to the test to learn the alien language to communicate and uncover whether their visit is innocent or has a more sinister motive.
Arrival will be screened on Sunday and will run until April 26.
Also being screened this week is Get Out (15), an acclaimed thriller which sees a young African-American man (Daniel Kaluuya) visit his white girlfriend (Allison Williams) at her family’s estate.
As the weekend progresses he realises her parents’ accommodating behaviour is not quite what it first seemed, when a series of discoveries leads him to uncover a shocking truth.
The Curzon and the Times have teamed up once again to offer one lucky reader two tickets to see Arrival.
