A hotly-anticipated food festival will take place next month, with famous chefs due to serve up a selection of delicious flavours – and some popular bands will be performing to boot.

Bristol Foodies Festival will be held at The Downs, in Stoke Road, from May 11-13, and the Times has five pairs of tickets to give away.

Stars from The Great British Bake Off, including 2017 finalist Steven Carter-Bailey, will be baking live in the Cake and Desserts Theatre – and there will be number of Michelin-Star chefs giving tips on how to recreate their high-quality concoctions.

Budding cooks will be able to take part in a range of workshops, and of course there will be a tantalising selection of delicious things to eat.

Away from an array of delectable treats, revellers will be able to enjoy a selection of top live music from the Musicians Against Homelessness stage.

Somerset-based pop-rockers The Hoosiers, who scored a number-one album in 2007 with The Trick to Life, will headline the show stage on May 11.

The duo are best known for their pair of top-10 hits, Worried About Ray and Goodbye Mr A.

Toploader will perform on May 12, reciting their most popular tune Dancing In The Moonlight – which is certain to entertain.

Britpop trio Dodgy will also perform on the Saturday.

The festival will be open from noon to 9pm on May 11, 11am-9pm on May 12 and 11am-6pm on May 13.

Tickets, priced £5-55, are available online.

The Times has teamed up with Foodies Festival to offer five lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets for one day of the festival.
