A second chance to win tickets to one of the most heart-wrenching war films in recent memory is on offer this week.

Dunkirk (12A) follows the mass evacuation, code-named Operation Dynamo, of hundreds of thousands of Allied troops from the northern coast of France from May 26 to June 4, 1940.

Faced with the German army heading towards them and the English Channel blocking their route home, the troops have no choice but to wait for naval ships to return them to safety.

As well as the soldiers, Dunkirk charts the stories of RAF pilots who are providing defence against the barrage of attacks raining down from German planes, and the brave sailors who risked their lives to
help the rescue effort.

Dunkirk will be screened at the Curzon until August 22.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (U) and Despicable Me 3 (PG) will provide entertainment for all the family, while a broadcast of Take That’s Wonderland concert will be shown on Saturday.

Phantom Boy (PG), a stylish animation featuring a child who fights New York crime as a ghostly apparition, will also be screened on Saturday.

Former American presidential candidate, Al Gore, will feature in An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power (PG) 11 years since the release of the 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth. Gore will appear on screen in a question and answer session after the screening on Friday to discuss climate change over the past decade.

The Curzon and the Times have teamed up again to offer one lucky reader two tickets to see Dunkirk.

To be in with a chance of winning, answer the simple question below before the competition deadline of 10am on Monday.

Usual Archant rules apply and the editor’s decision is final. By entering this competition you agree to be contacted by Archant. Curzon staff and volunteers are not eligible to enter this competition.
