A play about addiction and treatment is being staged in Bath this week.

The West End play People, Places & Things was a must-see show last year, and Duncan Macmillan’s play features a vivid portrayal of a woman’s entanglement in addiction, treatment and self-awareness.

People, Places & Things focuses on Emma, an actress, whose life is spinning out of control.

She finds herself in rehab, and needing to tell the truth about her problems – but intoxication feels the only way to survive the modern world.

Lisa Dwyer Hogg, who has appeared on popular television shows, including Casualty, plays the lead role of Emma.

People, Places & Things will be performed at the Theatre Royal Bath until Saturday.

* Tickets, priced £19.50-35.50, are available from www.theatreroyal.org.uk and by calling 01225 448844.
