A tale of an ambitious girl, who wants to spread her wings and find true freedom, will be performed at a venue in Clevedon at the start of next month.

Lily & The Albatross will be at Theatre Shop, in Queens Square, on October 7.

The Tall Tree Theatre show features a girl who lives in the ocean on an old fishing boat with her family.

Lily feels trapped in her cramped surroundings and often spends time staring skywards at the birds flying weightlessly above.

The sight makes Lily yearn for more excitement but her family’s tradition and expectations are holding her back.

However, her life is transformed when a special bird flies in after travelling a huge distance, giving Lily the encouragement she needs to achieve her dreams.

The performance will start at 2pm.

Tickets, priced £8, are available online or alternatively call the box office on 03336 663366.
