An Olivier Award-winning production will head to Bristol in early 2019.

Although Kinky Boots’ arrival is some way away, tickets have gone on sale this month for its hotly-anticipated arrival.

It is embarking on a UK-wide tour and will be staged at the Bristol Hippodrome.

Kinky Boots at the Adelphi Theatre in London has become a favourite with theatre-goers and has won three Olivier awards, a London Evening Standard BBC Radio 2 Audience
Award, as well as three WhatsOnStage Awards.

Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan.

Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations that he will continue the family business, Price & Son.

With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.

With a story by Broadway legend and four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, and songs by
Grammy and Tony-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical teaches audiences it is possible to change the world if you change your mind.

Mr Fierstein said: “The inspiring story of Kinky Boots will soon complete its full circle journey from Northampton to the silver screen to
Broadway and London and now, at last, back home as it embarks on a national UK tour.

“It has been an absolute thrill to witness the giant heart of our show raise audiences up out of their seats in glamorous joy night after night in the West End.”

Award-winning director and choreographer, Jerry Mitchell, said: “I am delighted to see this big-spirited musical going on tour.

“Kinky Boots is very close to my heart, and I am really looking forward to taking this British musical all over the UK.”

Kinky Boots will be at the Hippodrome from February 25 to March 9, 2019.

Performances will be at 7.30pm from Monday to Thursday, at 5pm
and 8.20pm on Fridays and 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturdays.

Ticket prices start at £19.50 and can be booked at www.atgtickets.com/bristol or by calling 08448 717627.
