The Royal Shakespeare Company will tour UK and Ireland with Matilda The Musical, but you will have to wait until 2019 to see it.

The musical will come to the South West, playing at the Bristol Hippodrome, in St Augustines Parade, from May to June next year.

Winner of more than 85 international awards, including 16 for best 
musical, Matilda The Musical tells the story of an extraordinary girl whose talents are constantly belittled by her cruel parents and headmistress.

Dreaming of a better life for herself, she dares to take a stand against these oppressive forces and takes her destiny into her own hands.

Matilda The Musical, which is based on Roald Dahl’s book and the 1990s film, will be staged at the Bristol Hippodrome from May 7 to June 8 next year.
