One of the wildlife world’s biggest names will share stories from his colourful career during a one-night-only appearance in North Somerset this month.

Bushcraft expert and survivalist Ray Mears will talk about encounters with weird and wonderful animals during a Q&A at The Playhouse in Weston.

Mears has starred in countless TV series, including seven-part series Australian Wilderness With Ray Mears now on ITV.

His larger-than-life tales include how he survived a helicopter crash while filming his first show in the early 1990s and helped Northumbria police track down one of the UK’s most notorious criminals.

His Born To Go Wild show
will also offer insight into survival techniques and his treks through mountains and deserts.

Ray Mears will be in Weston on November 13 at 7.30pm. Buy tickets, priced £19.50-27, on 01934 645544 or www.theplayhouse.co.uk
