The family-friendly pantomime Mother Goose will be performed in Backwell this January.

In the story, Mother Goose and her two children, Jill and Silly-Billy, are poor but happy.

When the greedy squire doubles everyone’s taxes, the villagers in Goosingham are very lucky to find the goose Priscilla is laying golden eggs.

Suddenly everyone is exceedingly rich – but they may not be happy with their new-found wealth.

Mother Goose will be performed at the Backwell Playhouse, in Mariners Drive, on January 19 and 26 at 7.30pm, and January 20 and 27 at 7.30pm and 2.30pm.

Tickets for the 7.30pm shows, priced £9 for members and children, and £12 for adults, are available by calling Alan and Ruth on 01275 462621.

Alternatively, tickets are available from www.backwellplayhouse.co.uk

Tickets for the matinee shows are only available from John by calling 01179 633586.
